Overview

Euronics is one of the world's largest consumer electronics retail groups, operating across 35 countries with a network of independent national retailers. From smartphones and laptops to kitchen appliances and home entertainment systems, Euronics stores carry tens of thousands of SKUs across every major consumer electronics category.

In October 2025, Euronics Hungary (euronics.hu) deployed Molin AI as a conversational AI layer on its website and Facebook Messenger. Within six months, the deployment had supported over $1.37 million in revenue, handled more than 113,000 customer conversations, and proven scalable enough to expand into a second market, Euronics Croatia, from the same platform.

This is the story of how an AI shopping assistant became one of the most effective sales channels in the Euronics digital operation.

The Challenge: A catalog too complex for keyword search

Euronics Hungary's online store carries a vast and technically dense product catalog. Customers aren't just browsing - they're trying to figure out which washing machine fits under their countertop, whether a specific laptop charger is compatible with their model, or which TV delivers the best picture quality for a living room with lots of natural light.

Traditional keyword search wasn't built for this. Typos returned zero results. Synonyms confused the engine. Complex, multi-attribute queries like "quiet wine cooler under 90,000 Ft with at least 40 bottles" were simply impossible. Customers with genuine purchase intent were getting stuck, bouncing, or defaulting to phone and email support for questions the website should have been able to answer.

Euronics had no chatbot or conversational interface before Molin. The team recognized that improving product discovery wasn't just a support play - it was a conversion play. If customers could find and understand the right product faster, they would buy more and buy with more confidence.

The added complexity: any solution needed to work across markets. Euronics operates in multiple countries with different languages, product assortments, and customer expectations. A system that only worked in Hungarian wouldn't be enough.

The Solution: One AI, two markets, 30 days to live

Molin AI was deployed on euronics.hu in October 2025. The implementation took 30 days from kickoff to full production: 15 days of build (feed integration, AI training, lead collection setup, CRM integration with Salesforce) and 15 days of human testing and fine-tuning with real customer enquiries.

The AI was trained exclusively on Euronics' own product data - the official product XML feed including titles, descriptions, technical attributes, stock levels, and pricing - alongside website content, PDF guides, and FAQs. This meant every answer the AI gave was grounded in verified, first-party data, eliminating the risk of hallucinated specs or invented product information.

What the AI actually does

The Molin AI agent on Euronics doesn't just answer questions. It sells.

  • Conversational product search. Customers can search by natural language question, keyword, GTIN code, or even by uploading an image. A customer who uploads a photo of a garment steamer and asks "do you sell this?" gets back a product card for the closest matching item, with price and a direct link to buy. A customer who types "I'm looking for a white Bosch oven to match the kitchen" gets a curated shortlist of built-in models with images and prices.

  • Product education. The AI explains complex technical specifications in plain language. When a customer asks "Is this wine cooler loud?", the AI doesn't just return "39 dBA" - it contextualizes: "39 dBA is considered quiet for home appliances. For comparison, normal conversation is around 60 dBA, so this is much quieter." This kind of answer builds buying confidence in a way a spec sheet never could.

  • Comparison and compatibility. Customers can ask the AI to compare two or more products side by side, or check whether accessories and peripherals are compatible with their existing devices.

  • General support. Delivery options, warranty terms, return policies, payment methods, store availability - the AI handles the full range of pre-purchase and post-purchase questions that would otherwise require a human agent.

A customer uploaded a photo of a steamer and asked 'do you sell this?' - and the AI identified it, found our closest match, and showed the product card with price. That's not a chatbot. That's a sales associate who never sleeps and knows every product in the warehouse.

Multi-market from day one

After proving the model in Hungary, Euronics expanded to Croatia using the same Molin platform. No second integration, no second vendor evaluation. The AI was configured for the Croatian product catalog and language, running from the same infrastructure. Two markets, two languages, one system.

"Most vendors at this level give you a project manager and a 12-week timeline. Molin gave us a working prototype in two weeks and a founder on the other end of a phone call. I've worked with companies ten times their size that move ten times slower."

The Results: $1.37M in AI-supported revenue

The results were immediate. In the first 15 days alone, Molin supported over €100,000 in revenue on euronics.hu - going live just in time for Black Friday, where it delivered outstanding sales performance from day one.

Over the following six months, the numbers compounded.

We didn't deploy Molin to generate revenue. We deployed it to fix search. The fact that it crossed a million dollars in supported sales in six months - that changed how our entire leadership team thinks about AI. It's not a support tool. It's a sales channel.

Revenue and conversion

Across the first six months, customers who interacted with Molin AI and proceeded to checkout generated an estimated $1,369,760 in supported revenue on euronics.hu alone. The AI collected 3,273 qualified leads and drove 9,784 visitor checkouts - customers who engaged with the AI and then completed a purchase.

The revenue curve tells the story: a steep, consistent climb from launch through April 2026, with no plateaus. The AI wasn't a novelty that wore off. It was a compounding asset that grew as more customers discovered it.

Engagement at scale

The depth of customer engagement was remarkable:

  • 113,673 conversations with an average length of 9 messages per conversation - these are real, substantive interactions, not one-and-done FAQ lookups

  • 979,478 total messages exchanged between customers and the AI

  • 82,798 product links clicked within conversations, with a 71.56% click-through rate - meaning nearly three out of four conversations resulted in a customer clicking through to a product page

  • 2-second average response time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

We had 113,000 conversations in six months with a two-second response time and 84% positive sentiment. If I had to staff that with people, I'd need a call center. The math isn't even close.

Customer sentiment

Analysis of conversations showed that 83.9% of interactions were positive or very positive, with only 1.7% registering as negative. More than 65% of all conversations were product-related - customers asking about product features (26.2%), seeking product information (45.9%), searching for specific items (15.2%), or checking availability (5.7%). This confirmed that Molin was operating primarily as a sales and product discovery tool, not just a support deflection layer.

Operational savings

Beyond revenue, the AI saved 32,649 hours of agent time and an estimated $293,844 in support costs over the six-month period. Response times dropped from minutes or hours (human agents) to a consistent 2 seconds. Support quality stayed uniform across all hours and all channels, with no dependency on hiring cycles, training programs, or staffing shortages.

Croatia: proof of replicability

The Croatia deployment, launched from the same platform, is already ramping - with the same instant response time and growing checkout numbers. The trajectory is following the same pattern Hungary showed in its early months.

We went live in Hungary, and within the first two weeks we had over €100,000 in AI-supported revenue. When the board asked about Croatia, the answer was simple: same platform, new language, done. No second integration, no second vendor, no second budget approval.

The Technology Behind It

Molin AI integrates with Euronics through a structured data architecture designed for enterprise-scale retail:

Data sources

Customer channels

CRM

Product XML feed (tens of thousands of SKUs)

Website chatbot

Salesforce sync

Public website content (static pages)

Facebook Messenger

AI lead collection with CRM data enrichment

All data is stored and processed on EU servers. The system is fully GDPR-compliant, with conversations automatically deleted after 90 days and no customer data used for model training.

What's Next

The Euronics deployment is expanding on two fronts.

First, more channels. The AI is being extended beyond the website and Facebook Messenger to reach customers wherever they are.

Second, deeper integration. Molin is being connected to Euronics' order management systems, enabling the AI to handle order status inquiries, stock checks, refunds, and more - moving from a sales and product discovery tool to a full-service AI agent that can manage the entire customer lifecycle.

What started as a search improvement has become a core part of how Euronics sells and serves customers online. One platform, two markets, and a trajectory that shows no signs of slowing down.
